Info
This particular screendance was a lot of fun, I had custom designed a Bracket in fusion360, and 3D printed it on my Ender3. The Brackets purpose was to suspend the camera from the Lighting rig scaffold in the thetare pointing directly down towards the stage, to capture an aerial view. One of these did not already exist commercially, so I made one, that I later donated to the Michaelis Theatre, at the University of Roehampton, where I studied, worked, and filmed these screen dances. Bacteriophage is a humerous piece of dancers interpretively performing the destruction of a cell and the reproduction of the bacteriophage, from the perspective of one looking through a micoscope. Synopsis: A brief investigation into representative Choreography of the non-human. Emulating the complex cell structures and their movements through dance. Particularly the Phage Virus and it's reproductive procedure. Depicting microscopic activities through the intentionally two-dimensional Choreography of dancers on a flat plane. The piece depicts the perspective of a scientist played by Shradha Roy Gupta (Elsa), as she observes the movement of cells through a microscope.
